1. Rewards build loyalty

…and loyalty means profit. As summarised by the Pareto principle, 20% of your customers generate 80% of profit. As a purpose-led business, you’re obviously not only profit- focused, but a higher customer retention can mean more money for innovation research and development, charity donations, increased wages for your artisan workers etc.

If you reward your customers and make them feel good about their purchase, they will come back. A customer that you have built a relationship with will spread the word about your brand, leave favourable reviews and recommend it to family and friends. There is no better way to run a valuable business these days, then to build a genuine and meaningful connection with people who support your brand and your products.

2. You benefit from the ecosystem

When your brand joins Epic, it becomes a part of the ecosystem of purpose-led brands. Once a customer earns their Koin, they can spend it later in any store on the ecosystem, not only yours. This obviously means that points earned through a purchase somewhere else, can be used to shop with you.

This is beneficial for customers, because it doesn’t limit them and gives them more freedom to use their points more often. It’s also incredibly valuable for brands that will see greater loyalty from engaged customers.

The network will grow over time in order to serve all a customers’ needs — eventually they will be able to shop for everything they want within our sustainable network, with little need or want to go somewhere else. More points for the customers = more retention for brands. Being a part of a union makes your brand a lot stronger.

3. Your customers will feel great about their choices.

Koin can be turned into discounts. But it can also do so much more!

For those customers, who want to be conscious consumers, and want to contribute to a cause aligned with their values, Koin allows them to make charitable donations or offset their carbon footprint.

If your customer buys an ethically made t-shirt or a pot of organic face cream, they will be able to use the points they earned to donate to one of their favourite charities, like WWF. Or, alternatively, they can offset the carbon footprint of their recent flight (that they also calculated using our app!). It’s a win for all involved: the customer feels great for choosing a sustainable product and their charity of choice or carbon offset project benefits by the customer going the extra mile with Koin. Why would they ever want to shop in a fast fashion store again?!
